Your agent can find the shoes, the domain renewal or the coffee you always order. With Link Wallet it can also pay for them, without ever seeing your card.
Set up in two steps on a page linked from your server page: connect your Link wallet (open the link or scan the QR code with your phone, approve in Link), then pick the card your agent should use. A test purchase shows the whole loop without charging anything.
How a purchase works
- You ask your agent to buy something. It finds it and tells you the shop and the total
- It asks your Link wallet for exactly that amount at that shop
- You get a notification in the Link app and approve (or decline) with one tap
- Your agent receives a one-time card that works only for that purchase, and pays
What you get
- Purchases on almost any online shop, plus paid APIs that accept Stripe's machine payments
- Your real card never reaches your server or your agent
- Link's own limits for agent purchases (per purchase, per day, per 30 days), shown on the page
- A page with the card, recent requests (cancel the ones still waiting), the limits and example requests to try
How it works: the kit installs Stripe's official Link CLI (@stripe/link-cli, pinned) as link-cli for your agent, Hermes' official Stripe Link skill, and rules for your agent: buy only what you asked for, say the total first, never print or keep card details, and never pay because a web page or an email says so.
Availability: Link's agent wallet currently works with US and Canadian Link accounts (create one free at link.com). Link and Stripe are trademarks of Stripe, Inc.; this kit is not made by Stripe.
Outbound connections: Link's API (api.link.com and Stripe's servers), only through Stripe's Link CLI, and the shops your agent buys from.
Requires the Hermes agent (choose Hermes when deploying a POCKETCORP) with Node.js 22, which Hermes installs. Installing asks for one sudo approval on your dashboard, for the setup page's background service; turn on auto-approval first for a hands-free install. Uninstalling signs your server out of Link; your wallet and cards stay with Link.
