Ask your agent for a document and get a real one: a Word offer, an Excel sheet of your costs, a slide deck for Thursday, a PDF of all of it. This kit installs LibreOffice on your POCKETCORP and connects your agent to it.
What you get
- LibreOffice Writer, Calc, Impress and Draw, with Writer, Calc and Impress icons and a Documents folder on your desktop
- Your agent connected to LibreOffice: it creates, reads and edits documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and converts between PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ODF and more
- When you ask to see a file, the agent opens it in LibreOffice on your desktop, where you keep editing
- A page on your server page listing everything in Documents, to open on your desktop or download, with a check that the agent is connected and a one-tap repair
Nothing is set up by hand. The agent's connection is the open-source mcp-libre MCP server (MIT), registered with Hermes' own `hermes mcp` command (and with Claude Code when it's installed). Your documents stay on your server in ~/Documents.
Requires the Hermes agent (choose Hermes when deploying a POCKETCORP) and uses the browser desktop for the icons. Installing asks for one sudo approval on your dashboard (it installs the LibreOffice packages, a few hundred MB, and the page's service); turn on auto-approval first for a hands-free install. It downloads the packages from Ubuntu, the MCP server's Python packages from PyPI and, if your server has none, Python 3.12 through uv. Uninstalling removes LibreOffice (if the kit installed it), the icons and the agent's connection, and keeps your documents.
